Fairfield County Progressive Marathon

Welcome to the home of the Fairfield County Progressive Marathon.

Participants complete 26.2 miles over seven races in various towns around Fairfield County, rather than completing the distance all at once, as would be done in a traditional marathon.

Awards:

Overall based upon cumulative time to top 3 overall males and females, as well as the top 3 in 10 year age groups (no duplication of awards)

All finishers (runners/walkers who complete all of the series races) will receive a Finisher’s Medal

*Please note: This registration will register you as a series participant, but will NOT register you for the individual races. In order to participate in the Progressive Marathon, you must register for each of the component races independently (complete the required registration and pay the respective fee for each race, with the exception of the 3.2 mile time trial), AND you must register for the Progressive Marathon.

 

Registration for the Progressive Marathon must be received by April 3, 2010

Race 3: April 11, 2010: Donnelly Dash – Fairfield – 3.5 Miles

Race 4: April 25 or May 1 or 2, 2010: 3.2 Mile Time Trial – Trumbull – 3.2 Miles

Race 5: May 9, 2010: Norwalk Mother’s Day 10K – Norwalk – 10K

Race 6: May 30, 2010: Bridgeport Hospital Home Run – Bridgeport – 5K

Race 7: June 6, 2010: Sprint for DARE – Monroe – 5K

Race 1: April 3, 2010: April Fool’s Race for DARE – Easton – 5K

Race 2: April 11, 2010: Donnelly Dash – Fairfield – 3.5 Miles

Race 3: April 25 or May 1 or 2, 2010: 4.1 Mile Time Trial – Trumbull – 4.1 Miles

Replacement Race: “Choose your own 5K” (must take place in Fairfield County before 6/6/10)

Official Alternate Races*:

March 21, 2010: Spring Equinox – New Canaan – 8K

May 2, 2010: Westport Minuteman – Westport – 5K or 10K

May 16, 2010: Accelerate Your Life 5K – Norwalk – 5K

*up to 2 series races may be substituted with a race of equal or greater distance (per mile pace will be used for your replacement time)
