Update #3
Hello all:
First off: previous updates (in the event you missed any)
can be found here:
www.fairfieldcountymarathon.com/updates.htm
(I don’t want to continue to give you all of the same information
that you have already read)
Next-I want to remind everyone that the first race of the
Progressive Marathon is this Sunday morning!
Also-remember that Saturday starts daylight savings time, so
be sure to set your clocks ahead an hour so that you don’t miss the race!
We will still be taking registrations on Sunday (and
throughout the next couple of weeks), so if you have friends who want to
participate, they still can.
Remember that series t-shirts and goody bags will not be given
out until the Donnelly Dash on April 11 (Race #3). So please do not be upset when they are not here this weekend.
The Progressive Marathon will have a table setup somewhere
on Sunday morning, where you can “check in” and receive a 2010 Progressive Marathon
wristband. I do not know where the
table will be, and unfortunately will not know until Sunday. There will be a Fairfield County Progressive
Marathon banner at the table, so anyone looking should be able to find us.
I anticipate the table will be setup sometime shortly after
8am, and certainly by 8:30.
If anyone has any questions at this point, please ask, or
just wait until Sunday to ask in person.
See you all on Sunday morning!
-Jeff McGregor
I also want to take this opportunity (as we’re about to
begin the series) to thank all of our sponsors. Especially our major ones:
Presenting sponsor Mednet Direct (whose product line
includes, among many other things, bandages, ice packs, and other helpful
sports medicine items),
Lisa Corrado Nutrition, and Fitness Matters/Head to Toe
Chiropractic.
Without the support of all of the sponsors, the series would
not be possible. So when you have a
chance, take a look at their websites and see if they provide something you can
use.

Once again:
ATTENTION MINUTEMAN RUNNERS (Date Correction):
The Minuteman is going to be the first weekend of May (May
2) rather than the last weekend of April.
In order to accommodate the people who this will affect, it will be
possible to run the “Time Trial” on April 25 (in addition to May 1 and 2). Anyone who was planning to run the Time
Trial on May 1 or 2 (and particularly those on May 2), AND the Minuteman as an
alternate race, PLEASE let me know if you would rather run back-to-back (Time
Trial on May 1, Minuteman on May 2) or the Time Trial the week before on April
25. Anyone else, who would rather run
the Time Trial the week before on April 25, is certainly welcome to as well,
just let me know.
